Bluetooth devices

Connect and manage Bluetooth flight devices with the current iOS Equipment flow.

Bluetooth Devices

Profile > Equipment > Bluetooth Devices

Use Bluetooth devices to provide additional data to Gaggle while recording, such as GPS, variometer, pressure, and engine-related telemetry where supported.

Start from Equipment

On Profile > Equipment, open the Bluetooth Devices section and tap Connect New Device.

The current Equipment screen also shows the reminder:

Devices will only connect after you start the flight recording

Add a Bluetooth device

Bluetooth Add

The add flow currently uses:

  1. Title: Add Bluetooth Device
  2. Scan state text: Tap the device you want to connect with
  3. Scan state text: Scanning for devices, make sure your bluetooth device is turned on
  4. Add/connect step title: Adding Device
  5. Connection state: Connecting to {device}
  6. Connection state: Done! {device} connected

In iOS Simulator, Bluetooth hardware is not available, so the live state can show:

Bluetooth Configure (Reference)

The detail page currently has:

  1. Device Info (for example Manufacturer, Model Number, Name)
  2. Incoming Data (connection status and live fields when data is received)

Depending on what the connected device sends, toggle options can include:

  1. GPS
  2. Variometer
  3. Pressure
  4. Fuel Level
  5. Amb. Temp
  6. CHT
  7. EGT
  8. RPM
  9. FLARM

Removal is destructive and uses:

  1. Remove {name}?
  2. REMOVE
