Connected apps
Let a logbook, coaching tool or other app read your Gaggle data, choose what it sees, and disconnect it at any time.
Connected apps
Profile > Settings > Integrations > Connected apps
Connected apps let other apps, such as a logbook or a coaching tool, read your Gaggle data after you approve them. You decide what each app can see, and you can disconnect it at any time.

Connecting an app
- In the other app, choose to connect to Gaggle. It sends you to Gaggle to sign in.
- Sign in to your Gaggle account. You need a full account, not a guest one.
- On the consent screen, review what the app asks for and switch things on or off.
- Approve to connect, or decline to go back without sharing anything.
Gaggle emails you when an app is connected, so you will notice if it was not you.
What you choose
On the consent screen, and later in Connected apps, you control:
- Profile. Your name. This is always shared, so the app knows who you are.
- Stats. Your flight and airtime totals.
- Flight log. Your flights.
- Tracks. The recorded track of each flight.
- Sharing levels. Which of your flights the app sees, by the sharing level you gave them: Everyone, My Groups, Friends and Private. By default an app sees everyone, groups and friends. Imported flights are Private until you change them, so an app only sees them if you include Private. Flights you typed in by hand are always visible.
Changes apply straight away. If you switch something off, the app can no longer read it.
What your plan shares
Every plan can connect apps. Your plan decides how much history and detail the app receives:
| Free | Frequent Flyer | Adventurer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flights | New flights from the moment you connect | Last 30 days | Your whole logbook |
| Flight details | Date, duration, site, aircraft, take-off position, flight type | Adds distance | Adds distance and weather |
| Stats | Total flights and airtime | Adds distance and per-year figures | Adds per-month and per-aircraft figures |
| Tracks | Time, position and altitude | Same | Same |
The consent screen shows what your plan gives, with a link to upgrade.
Disconnect an app
- Open Profile > Settings > Integrations > Connected apps.
- Tap the app.
- Adjust what it sees, or tap Disconnect and confirm.
When you disconnect an app, or delete your Gaggle account, Gaggle stops sharing your data with it and asks the app to delete the data it received.
Privacy
Once an app has received data, its own privacy policy and terms apply to it. Apps are registered with Gaggle and agree to API terms that limit how they use your data, but check the app’s privacy policy before you connect. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
